Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Billino is an invoicing service — a mobile app and a web app behind a free account. Your invoice data is stored on our servers so it's available to you in the app and in any browser. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we process

Account data: When you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. We use your email to authenticate you and for essential service messages — not for marketing, unless you opt in.

Invoice data: The invoices, recipients, business profile, and catalog items you create are stored on our servers to provide the service. This data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running Billino.

The marketing website (billino.io) is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare processes your IP address and standard HTTP request metadata to route traffic and protect against abuse. This is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or store access logs.

Cookies: The marketing site sets no cookies. The app uses authentication tokens strictly to keep you signed in — no third-party tracking cookies, no ad tech.

Planned future features

These features do not exist yet. When they are introduced, this policy will be updated and you will be notified in the app.

  • Shareable invoice links and read receipts: When you share an invoice link, we will record that the link was opened (time and coarse technical metadata) to show you the read status. Viewers are not tracked beyond this.
  • Anonymous usage analytics (opt-out): We may collect aggregate, non-identifiable events — for example, that an invoice was created or marked as paid — to understand how the app is used. No personal data, no invoice content, no client information will be included. You will be able to opt out in the app settings.
  • Online payments: If payment collection (e.g. via Stripe or PayPal) launches, payment processing will be handled by the payment provider under their own privacy policy. We will not store card details.

Data security

Your account and invoice data are stored on our servers in Nuremberg and Frankfurt, Germany — inside the EU. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS), and your data is accessible only through your authenticated account.

The marketing website is delivered globally via Cloudflare's edge network; no account or invoice data is stored there.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, you have rights under the GDPR: to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Export is built into the product — you can export your full dataset at any time, free. To delete your account and all associated data, use the account settings or contact us.

Business transfer

If Billino or its underlying operations are transferred, merged, or sold to a corporate entity affiliated with the developer, your personal data may be transferred to that successor entity as part of the business assets. Any successor will be bound by this policy and your data will continue to be used only as described here. We will notify you of any such change via email or an in-app notice before it takes effect.
