Billino has no invoice or expense count limit, on any plan — log as many as your business needs. Free is capped only on the total value you invoice in any trailing 12 months, not on how many invoices you send.
But a product with no limits anywhere is an open door for abuse — and letting a handful of accounts run unlimited automated usage would put that free experience at risk for everyone else. So beyond that revenue cap, the only other line we draw is around automated, programmatic usage, not real business use. Here's exactly how, and why.
Every feature is included on Free — unlimited invoicing and expense logging, tax calculation, e-invoicing, read receipts, multiple users, analytics, exports, all of it. The only limit is the total value of invoices you issue: once your account passes €50,000 invoiced in the trailing 12 months, we'll ask you to move to Plus. There's no invoice count limit or storage limit behind that — a busy stretch near the cap looks exactly the same as a quiet one below it.
This covers logging invoices and expenses yourself. Automated features that process things on your behalf — like expense receipt scanning or the invoice mailbox — work differently under the hood and may carry their own limits, separate from this policy.
Billino supports invoicing in 25 currencies. Since the €50,000 cap is one number, any invoice not issued in EUR counts toward it at an approximate EUR value, using the table below — reviewed periodically, not recalculated live per invoice. A few currencies (Bulgarian lev, UAE dirham, Russian ruble) have no directly published market rate against the euro, so those use a fixed peg or a conservative approximation instead.

Plus removes the €50,000/year cap entirely, and adds two things we pay for on a per-use basis: API access, for connecting Billino to your shop, CRM, or scripts, and AI-powered automation like expense receipt scanning and the invoice mailbox. Because an API call can create documents far faster than any person clicking through the app, API usage is capped at 1,000 calls per month, with a 100-calls-per-minute limit so the monthly allowance can't be used up in a single burst. AI-powered expense receipt scanning is capped at 30 scans per month. AI feature pricing may change as we add more AI capabilities.

Free doesn't include API access, and scripting or automating your way around the app instead of using it directly isn't permitted on Free, regardless of the revenue cap. We don't block this in real time — instead, we look for a pattern no human could plausibly produce, such as creating more than one invoice or expense within a five-minute window, repeated over multiple days. If we see that, we reach out directly to ask what's going on, rather than cutting anyone off automatically.
